Governor Murphy: Fighting For Gay Rights

With Minnesota's new amendment to their state constitution that bans same-sex marriages, Governor Larissa Murphy and her running mate, Senator Thomas Noviello, believe the fight for equal rights is more important now than ever.
As Senator Noviello best puts it “If somebody loves somebody else, who are we to try and stop it?”. Governor Murphy has worked, and will continue to work, to eliminate discrimination against same sex couples. As governor, she was an avid supporter of the repeal of “Don’t ask, don’t tell” and hopes to legalize gay marriage nationwide. She would also push to eliminate the restrictions and barriers having to do with medical-decision making and hospital visitation. Building on former President Obama’s work, she would improve the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, laying down even stronger punishments for hate crimes.

MURPHY SECRETARY OF STATE ANNOUNCED!
Governor Murphy is able to admit, that she has very little experience in national security issues. Luckily, she has her running mate, Thomas Noviello, has plenty experience as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and he will be able to advise Governor Murphy on foreign policy issues, along with the many other Presidential advisers like the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the National Security Adviser.
Governor Murphy recognizes, however, that the United States' Relations are a vital part of the many aspects of the federal government. This is why, she believes Governor Jon Huntsman would be the best person to fill the position of Secretary of State in her cabinet. As the former Ambassador to China, Governor Huntsman possesses the foreign policy experience needed to represent the United States to the World.
